The Chief Settlement Commissioner, the Joint or Deputy Chief Settlement Commissioner and all Settlement Commissioners, Additional Settlement Commissioners and Settlement Officers appointed under this Ordinance shall be deemed to be public servants within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian Penal Code (Act XLV of 1860).
