Be it enacted by the legislature of Sikkim on the Seventy-second Year of the Republic of lndia as follows:- Short title and 1. (1) This Act may be called "The Eastern lnstitute for lntegrated commencement Learning in Management University, Sikkim (Amendment) Act, 2021".
(2) lt shall come into force at once. Substitution of 2. ln the Eastern lnstitute for lntegrated Learning in Management reference to University, Sikkim Act 2006 (hereinafter referred to as "the principal certain Act"), unless otherwise expressly provided, for the words and figure expressions by "Eastern lnstitute for lntegrated Learning in Management University, certain other Sikkim Act, 2006", wherever they occur the words and figure the expressions "Sikkim Alpine University Act, 2006" shall be substituted. 4. ln the principal Act, in the long title, for the words "Eastern lnstitute for lntegrated Learning in Management (EllLM) Kolkatta, West Bengal" the words "Advance Education and Resealch Foundation (AMOGH), New Delhi" shall be substituted. ln the principal Act, in Section 2, in clause (xii), for the words appearing after the words "means the" the words "Advance Education and Research Foundation (AMOGH), A-127, Vikash Vihar, Kakroula Road, New Delhi" shall be substituted.
5. ln the principal Act, in Section 47, atler sub-section (4), the following new sub-sections shall be inserted namely:
5. The State Government may by notification in the Official Gazette, revive the university after its dissolution under different name and with a different sponsor if it is satisfied that the said revival of the university is expedient and necessary.
6. The State Government shall hold no liability towards any claims for reinstatement and back wages and other previous liabilities, if any, post revival of the university under a different name.
