(1) Accident leave may be granted to an employee who sustains an injury in the course of the performance of his duties, for the period for which leave is certified by the Medical Officer of the Board to be necessary for recovery from the injury.

(2) Accident leave would also be admissible to an employee, who is on tour / duty in connection with the official work of the Board, subject to the period for which leave is necessary for recovery from the injury being certified either by the Board's Medical Officer, or a Government/Municipal doctor.

(3) The competent authority may, at the option of the employee, grant any other kind of leave as admissible to him for the period so medically certified and also in combination with or in continuation of any accident leave sanctioned.

(4) An employee on accident leave shall for the first four months thereof, draw a pay equal to his leave pay and half leave pay for the rest of the period.
