The 28th July, 2009 HARYANA GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENT OF ANIMAL HUSBANDRY AND DAIRYING Notification The 30th September, 2009 No. 4411-AH-4-2009/18595.—in exercise of powers conferred, the Governor of Haryana hereby constitutes a society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, namely Pet Animals Health Society, Haryana as under :-

1. Pet Animal Health Society, Haryana is established as an autonomous body in the form of a registered society. The name of the Society will be Pet health Society, Haryana Animals.

2. The main objective of the Society will be to provide affordable quality veterinary and allied services to the Pet Animals.

3. This society will have a team of talented professionals from the field of Veterinary Sciences with • vast experience.

4. This society under the aegis of Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Haryana may also use the services of its offices for execution of different services to be provided by it,

5. For its activities, the society may construct, purchase, hire or take on lease the building as may be necessary to open a Pet Animals Medical Centre and carry out in -home facilities for various activities related to pets' health, diagnosis and treatment.

(a) Governing Council : The society will have a Governing Council which is constituted as under :— Sr. Name and Designation Status No.

6. Vice Chancellor. Veterinary University of State, Member Dean, COVS, Hisar

7. Representative of North American Vety. Practitioners' Fraternity Member

8. Dr. K. S. Dangi, Ph.D. USA, Director General, Member Secretary Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Haryana, Panchkula The society will function under the supervision and guidance of its Governing Council. The Governing Council shall have the right to repeal/veto any decision of the Executive Committee. The society shall carry out directives, policy decisions, guidelines. if any set out by the Governing Council.

6. Aims and objectives of the society : The aims and objectives of the society will be as under :—

(i) To provide affordable quality veterinary and allied services to the Pet Animals.

(ii) To undertake activities pertaining to the need of Pet Animal lovers and to make the Pet Animals Health System responsive.

(iii) To provide training to Veterinary Graduates who are interested in pet practices in India and abroad and make them self sufficient for global competitions.

(iv) To breed those dogs who are in public demand and breeding programmes to he carried in such a way that breeding lines are not disturbed and the litter produced is true to breed.

(v) To prvide training to pets for improving their behaviour, management, feeding activities etc.

(vi) To train dogs of various breeds in demand for defence and police services, so that good Sniffers are produced at the centre and their services could be utlized for National Security.

(vii) To provide in house facility for holiday home to pets as per the capacity of the centres so that the owners going on holidays could shift their pets in the centre which will look after the feeding management of the pets.

(viii) The society can take up any other related activity from time to time.

7. The Governor of Haryana is pleased to authorize the Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary to Government of Haryana, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Department to take all such steps required to make Pet Animals Health Society operational with immediate effect. The society as has been registered on 9th September, 2009 with Registrar, Firms and Societies under Societies Registration Act, 1860 vide No. 70 is hereby approved to take up various activities as provided in its Memorandum and Rules and Regulations/Byelaws thereunder.
