Amendment Act, 1969 (Haryana~Act~No 21 of 1969), as at present in force in the State of Haryana, subject to the following modifications, namely — Me difi nations
1. In sectior. 2 of the Punjab Cinemas (Regulation) Haryana Amendment Act, 1969 (hereinalter referred to as the Act), for the words, figures and b r a c k s . 'After section 7 of the Punjab Cinemas (Regulation.) Act, 1952 (hereinafter re ferred to as the principal Ant)", the- words, figures and brackets "After section 7 nf the Punjab Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1952, as in force in the Union territory of Chandigarh (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act)" shall be substituted.
2. Section 4 of the Act shall be omitted.
ANNEXURE THE PUNJAB CINEMAS (REGULATION) HARYANA AMENDMENT ACT, 1969, AS EXTENDED TO THE UNION TERRITORY OF CHANDIGARH Haryana Act No. 21 of 1969.
An Act to amend the Punjab Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1952.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Haryana in trie Twentieth Year of the Republic of India as follows:—
1. Short title.—This Act may be called the Punjab Cinemas (Regulation) Haryana Amendment Act, 1969.
2. Insertion of sections 7 A, 7B and 7C in FnKja.'b Act 11 of 1952.—After section •% of the Punjab Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1952, as in force in the Union territory of Chandigarh (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), the following sections shall be inserted, namely:— *"/A Amendment or alteration ia classification of seats and rates for ad mission Dy the licensee.— (1) The licensee shall adhere to the classi fication of seats and the rates of admission to the cinematograph ex hibition as approved by the licensing authority and shall not ami—rT or alter the - same without the written approval of the licencing authority.
(2) If the licensee intends to increase the rates for admission to the cinematograph exhibition, he shall make an application in writing to the licensing authority stating the reasons therefor, at least seven days before the date on which it is proposed to give effect to the increase in such rates.
(3) If the licensing authority is satisfied that the increase In the rates of admission to the cinematograph exhibition will not unreasonably affect the purchaser of the cinematograph tickets, it may, for reasons to be recorded in writing, grant the approval for such increase:
Provided that such approval shall not be granted by the licensing authority more than twice a year.

(4) Any person aggrieved by the decision of the licensing authority Ulifl'ei sub-section (3) may, within such time as may be pEestribfest,.."appeal to the Government and the Government may ma.<e siseb order in the case as it thinks fit, Tls. 1C. Penalty for re-sale of t idiets and cognisance, ct offences-—CD Kfotwithstanding anything contained in section 5fi ot the Indian Easements Act, 1882, a ticket for admission to a cmamato;n-aph exhibition shall not be re-sold for profit by the purchaser theraoi'.
(L i Whoever re-sclls any ticket for admission to a cinematograph exhibition for profit shall be punishable with fine which may extend to two hundred rupess.
(3) Notwithstanding anything contained in the Code of Criminal Procedure, I^MB, an oilence under this section shall be deemed to be cognizable within the meaning of that Code."
3 A.mendmcnt of sect on 9 of Punjab Act 11 of 1BS2.—In clause (c)' of section fi of the princioal Act, after the word and figuie "section 5", the words, brackets, figures and letter "and sub-section (4) of section 7A" shall be inserted.
