Section 27: Application of other laws not barred.

The provisions of this Act or the rules made thereunder shall be in addition to and not in derogation of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (26 of 1881), the Transfer of Property Act, 1882 (4 of 1882), the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934 (2 of 1934), the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 (10 of 1949), the Companies Act, 1956 (1 of 1956), the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002 (54 of 2002), the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006 (27 of 2006) or any other law for the time being in force.
