Section 38: Manner of Advertisement

The Geographical Indications of Goods (registration and Protection) Rules, 2002Central Rules · 1999

(1) An application for the registration of a geographical indication required or permitted to be advertised by sub-section (1) of section 13 or to be re-advertised by sub-clause

(2) of that section shall be ordinarily advertised in the Journal within three months of the acceptance of an application for advertisement.

(2) The Registrar may after notification in the Journal put the published Geographical Indications Journal on the internet, website or any other electronic media.

(3) The Registrar may after notification in the Journal make available the Geographical Indications Journal in CD-ROM on payment of the cost thereof.
