Section 18: Removal of members for misconduct

The Goa Agricultural Produce Marketing (Development and Regulation) Act, 2007State Act of Goa · Act 11 of 2007

The Government, on the recommendation of the Marketing Board, supported by not less than two third of its members having voting right at a meeting, may remove any member of the Marketing Board who has been found guilty of neglect or misconduct in the discharge of his duties or of any disgraceful conduct or has become incapable of performing his duties as a member or is adjudged as insolvent:

Provided that, no such member shall be removed from his office unless he has been given reasonable opportunity of being heard by the Government.
