Section 4: Declaration of market areas and development and regulation of marketing of specified agricultural produce therein

The Goa Agricultural Produce Marketing (Development and Regulation) Act, 2007State Act of Goa · Act 11 of 2007

After expiry of the period specified in the notification issued under section 3 and after considering such objections and suggestions as -5- may be received before the expiry of such period and after making such inquiry as may be necessary, the Government or the State Marketing Officer may, by notification, declare the area specified in the notification issued under section 3 or any portion thereof to be a market area for the purposes of this Act and that marketing of all or any kind of agricultural produce specified in the notification issued under section 3 shall be developed and regulated under this Act in such market area.
