Section 22: Election of Mayor and Deputy Mayor

The City of Panaji Corporation Act, 2002State Act of Goa · Act 1 of 2003

The elected Councillors of the Corporation shall, at the first meeting of the Corporation each year, elect from amongst themselves, a Mayor and a Deputy Mayor.

“1122A. Honoraria or allowances to Mayor, Dy. Mayor and Councillors of the Corporation.— The Mayor, Dy. Mayor and Councillors of the Corporation may be paid such honoraria or other allowances by the Corporation, as may be prescribed by rules made by the Government.”
