Section 36: Election of Standing Committee

The City of Panaji Corporation Act, 2002State Act of Goa · Act 1 of 2003

(1) The Corporation shall, at its first meeting each year, elect six out of its number to be members of the Standing Committee.

Members of the Standing Committee shall, subject to the provisions of section 40, hold office until the first meeting of the Corporation in the next following year.

(2) Any Councillor who ceases to be a member of the Standing Committee shall be eligible for re-election.
