Section 59: Matters to be provided for by Corporation

The City of Panaji Corporation Act, 2002State Act of Goa · Act 1 of 2003

(1) The Corporation shall make adequate provision by any means or measures which it may lawfully use or take, for each of the following matters, namely:—

(a) lighting public streets, places and buildings;

(b) planning for economic and social development;

(c) urban forestry, protection of environment and promotion of ecological aspects;

(d) cleaning public streets, places, and sewers and all spaces not being private property,
