(1) The public notice of the proceedings of de-registration of a society under section 20 of the Act shall be published in at least one newspaper published in Goa and in wide circulation in the district in which the society’s office is situated and a copy thereof shall be exhibited on the notice board of the office of the Registrar and the society. The cost of such publication shall be recovered from the assets of the society and in the absence of such assets, from the Chief Promoter or the Board of Directors of the society, as may be decided by the Registrar, as arrears of land revenue.
(2) The remuneration to be paid to the official assignee under sub-section (4) of section 20 of the Act shall not be more than 10% of the assets realised of the society under de-registration. The allowances to be paid to the official assignee shall be as applicable to Government employees as per his entitlement or as may be fixed by the Registrar, whichever is less.
