Section 20: Voting rights of individual members in a federal society

The Goa Co-operative Societies Rules, 2003State Rules of Goa · 2001

(1) In the case of federal societies, the voting rights of individual members, which term shall include the members enrolled under clauses (b) and (d) of sub-section (2) of section 21 of the Act, shall be on the basis of ‘one member one vote’.

(2) There shall be a separate constituency for individual members of a federal society. The Directors to be elected by the constituency of individual members shall not exceed 1/5th (one fifth) of the total number of Directors on the Board of Directors of the society as laid down in the bye-laws of the society (fraction being neglected).
