Section 50: Form for the balance sheet and the profit and loss account

(1) The balance sheet and the profit and loss account to be prepared and placed before the annual general meeting of a society by the board of directors shall be either in horizontal form or in vertical form in Form ‘L-1 to L-4’.

(2) A copy of the balance sheet and profit and loss account to be presented at the annual general meeting under sub-clause (i) of clause (c) of sub-section (3) of section 5 of the Act and a copy of the annual report of the board of directors under sub-clause (ii) of clause (c) of sub-section (3) of section 58 of the Act shall be fixed on the notice board of the society atleast fifteen days before the date fixed for the annual general meeting.
