Section 3: Extension of Powers of Attorney Act, 1882, to Goa, Daman and Diu

The Goa, Daman and Diu (Extension of the Powers of Attorney Act) Act, 1980State Act of Goa · Act 10 of 1980

The Powers of Attorney Act, 1882 (Central Act 7 of 1882) as in force in the territories to which it generally extends, is hereby extended to, and shall be in – 2 –

4. force in Goa, Daman and Diu, subject to the modifications that, in section 4 of the said Act,—

(a) for the words “High Court” wherever they occur, the words “Judicial Commissioner’s Court” shall be substituted;

(b) for the words “State Government”, the words “Government of the Union territory of Goa, Daman and Diu” shall be substituted.
