In this Act, unless the contest otherwise requires,—
(a) 8[“Board” means the Goa Board of 9 [***] homoeopathy established under section 3, of this Act; ]
(b) “Chairman” means Chairman of the Board10[Council];
---4--- 11[(bb) “Council” means the Goa Homoeopathy Council established under Section 3 of this Act;];
(c) “Director of Health Services” means the Director of Directorate of Health Services, Goa;
(d) “Government” means Government of Goa;
(e) “Homoeopathy” means Homoeopathic system of medicines and includes the use of biochemic remedies 12[***];
(f) “Inspector” means the Inspector appointed under section 30;
(g) “member” means member of the Board13[Council];
(h) “practitioner” means a person who practices the 14 [***] homoeopathy as a principle occupation;
(i) “prescribed” means prescribed by the rules made under this Act;
(j) “register” means a register of practitioners prepared and maintained under this Act;
(k) “registered practitioner” means a practitioner whose name is for the time being entered on the register;
(l) “registrar” means Registrar appointed under section 21 of this Act;
(m) “regulations” means regulation made under section 47 of this Act;
(n) “rules” means rules made under this Act;
(o) “Schedule” means Schedule to this Act.
CHAPTER II
