57(1) In making a rule under section 75, the Government may provide that a breach of such rule shall be punishable with imprisonment which may extend to three months or with fine or with both.[ (1) In making a rule under Section 75, the Government may provide that a breach of such a rule shall be liable to a penalty of twenty-five thousand rupees.]
(2) In making a rule under any other provision contained in this Act, the Government may provide that a breach of such rule shall be punishable — 58(i) with fine which may extend to one hundred rupees and in case of a continuing breach, with fine which may extend to thirty rupees for every day during which the breach continues after conviction for the first breach; or[(i) with penalty which may extend to one thousand rupees and in case of a continuing breach, with penalty which may extend to two hundred rupees for every day during which the breach continues after the first breach; or ] 59ii) with fine which may extend to twenty rupees for every day during which the breach continues after receipt of notice from the local authority or the Health Officer to discontinue such breach. [(ii) with penalty which may extend to two hundred rupees every day during which the breach continues after receipt of notice from the local authority or the Health Officer to discontinue such breach.]
