Section 24: Academic Council The Goa Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board Act, 1975 State Act of Goa · Act 19 of 1975
(1) The Academic Council shall be the principal academic authority of the Board and shall consist of the following members, namely:
(i) The Chairman of the Board— Ex-Officio Chairman;
(ii) Two members to be elected by the Board from amongst the ex-officio members, referred to in Class A of sub-section (1) of section 12;
(iii) Five members to be elected by the Board from amongst the elected members referred to in Class B of sub-section (l) of section 12;
(iv) One member to be elected from the nominated members referred to in Class C of subsection (1) of section 12;
(v) Convenors of the Board of Studies.
(2) The term of office of the members of the Academic Council shall be two years.
