Section 140: Supervenience of descendants

The Goa Succession, Special Notaries and Inventory Proceeding Act, 2012State Act of Goa · Act 23 of 2016

(1) The will made by a person who did not have children at the time of making it or did not know that he had children, lapses in the event of supervenience of children or other descendants.

(2) A legacy does not lapse in any of the cases mentioned above but it may be reduced as inofficious in accordance with section 110.
