(1) Where more than one executor has accepted the office and later on one or more of them have abstained from participating in the execution of the will, the execution carried out by the others shall be valid; but all of them shall be jointly liable for the assets of the estate of which they have taken charge.
(2) Where the executors who have accepted the office do not arrive at a consensus on the manner in which the will is to be executed, the executorship shall lapse and the will shall be executed by the person who has the duty to do so as if no executors had been appointed.
