(1) A Gold Control Officer authorised In this behalf m a y - fa) take samples of gold from any dealer, refiner Gr other person in such manner as may be prescribed;

(M send such' samples for assay or analysis to such authority as may be prescribed and require such authority to send to htm a report as to result of the assay or analysis.

(2) Where any sample has been taken under sub-section (1),—

(a) such sample shall be restored to the person from whom ft was taken after the purpose for which it was taken has been carried out but if such Derson fails to take delivery of the aamrjle within three months from the date on which it was proposed to be returned to him, it may be disposed of in such manner as the Administrator may direct;

(b) no compensation shall be payable for any reduction In the weight of such sample by reason of any test, assay or analysis.

Power to delegaU.

103. The Central Government may, by notification, direct that all or any of the powers which may be exercised by it under this Ordinance, shall, in such circumstances and under such conditions, if any, as may be specified in the notification, be exercised also by such person or authority as may be specified therein.
