( 1) [n these rul es, unless there is nnythin g repugnant in the subject or contex t: - (n ) "Act '' means the Cantonments Act, 2006 (41 of 2006) ;

lh) ' ' l~ o<~ rd " means a Cantonment 13onrcl con stituted under the Act;

(c) " mee ting" include all the meetings of the Board as provided in section 39 of the Ac t ~

(d) "member" means the member of the Board;

(c) '·Pres ident" means the Pres ident of the Board ;

(2) The word s and express ions used in these rules and not defined but cld~ne cl in the Act shall have the same meaning as assigned to them in the Act.
