Section 38: Auxiliary Supply for Exit Signs

(1) All Exist signs shall be fitted with an auxiliary bulb capable of properly illuminating the sign and these bulbs shall be fed from Accumulators which shall be in a fully charged condition before the first admission of the public on any day.

(2) All lights in tl1e staircases, corridors, passage and Exit notices shall be kept alight during the whole time the public are m the C1 ::ma.

(3) Notwithstanding .m) th111g co.itained in sub-rules (1) and (2), in the case of a Janata Cinema. the followmg provisions shall apply, namdy:-

(i) All Exit signs shall be pamted with n;diating paint for properly illuminating the signs.

(1i)All lights m passages and Exit notice shall be kept alight during the whole time the public arc in the Cinema.
