Section 2: Definitions

Gujarat Cinemas (Regulation of Exhibition by Video) Rules, 1984State Rules of Gujarat · 2004

In these rules, unless the context otherwise, requires,

(a) “the Act” means the Bombay Cinemas( Regulation) Act, 1953 (Born. XI of 1953).

(b) “exhibition by Video" means an exhibition of a. cinema— tOgTaph film or moving picture series of pictures in public organised H—457—1 2 by playing or re-playing a pie-recorded cassette by means of a video cassette player or recorder either on the screen of a telev1s10n set or Video-scope or otherwise ;

(0) “film” means a cinematograph film.

((1) “form” means a form appended to these rules;

(6) “video cinema” means any place wherein a public exhibition by video is provided for a commercial purpose.
