Section 14: (1) The Academic Council of the University shall consist of the following members, namely

(i) the 2[Director General] of the University, ex-officio, who shall be the Chairman of the Academic Council;

(ii) one eminent academician and one eminent professional to be nominated by the Board.

(iii) one external eminent academician and one eminent professional to be nominated by the 2[ Director General];

(v) one Professor from each discipline of the University by rotation to be nominated by the 1[Director General]; and

(vi) the Registrar who shall be the non-meber Secretary of the Council;

(2) The term of office of the members other than the ex-officio member shall be three years.
