The Gujarat Homoeopathic Act, 1963State Act of Gujarat · Act 36 of 1963

(1) The Council shall by regulations under section 37 prescribe the examinations to be held by it, the qualifications for admission to such examinations the courses of studies for such examinations, the standard of passing, the degree, diploma, certificate or any other like award to be conferred on persons who pass the examinations, and such other matters in respect of such examinations as may be necessary or expedient.

(2) The Council may appoint, under the chairmanship of the President, an Examination Committee, consisting of five persons of whom four shall be members of the Council possessing any of the recognized qualifications an one shall be a person, whether a member of the Council No refund fees.

The Gujarat Homoeopathic Act, 1963 1963 : Guj. XXXVI] or not possessing a medical qualification which is recognized as sufficient for entitling a person to be registered under any law for the time being in force in the State or any part thereof, relating to the registration of medical practitioners.

(3) Subject of such conditions as may be prescribed by regulations, the functions of the Examination Committee shall be-

(i) to consider applications for recognition of institutions made under section 28 and to make recommendation thereon;

(ii) to make recommendations as respects appointment of examiners;

(iii) to scrutinize applications of candidates for appearance at an examination

(iv) to make arrangements for holding the examinations of the Council including the appointment of supervising staff, fixation of dates, centers and programmers of examinations and reading of proofs of question papers;

(v) to prepare the results of examinations held by the Council and submit them to the Council; and

(vi) to do all such acts and things, whether incidental to the functions aforesaid or not, in connection with examinations as the Council may determine or direct.
