Section 17

The Gujarat Land Requisition Act, 1948State Act of Gujarat · Act 33 of 1948

(1) No suit, prosecution or other legal, proceeding shall lie against any person for anything in good faith done or intended to be done under this Act or any order made there under.

(2) Save as otherwise expressly provided under this Act no suit or other legal proceeding shall lie against the 39[State] Government for any damage caused or likely to the caused by anything in good faith done or intended to be done under this Act, or any order made there under.

18. Every officer authorized or empowered by the 39[State] Government to exercise any power or to perform any duty under this Act shall be deemed to be a public servant within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian Penal Code.
