Section 2: Deftnitions

The Gujarat State commission for Women Rules,2013State Rules of Gujarat · 2002

(1) In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires,-

(a) "Act" means the Gujarat State Commission for Women Act,2002(Guj.l2 of 2002);

(b) "Commission" means the Gujarat State Commission for Women constituted under section 3 of the Act;

(c) "Chairperson" means the Chairperson of the Commission appointed und.er clause (a) of sub-section

(2) of section 3 ofthe Act;

(d) "Member-Secretary" means the member-secretary of the Commission appointed under clause (d) of sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Act:

(e) "Ad-hoc Committee" means the committee constituted under section-l2 of Gujarat State Women Commission Act,2002 by Gujarat State Commission for Women.

(2) Words and expressions used in the Act and not defined in these rules shall have the meaning assigned to them in the Act.
