Section 8: Fumigation

(i) Fumigation of Hand Picked Selected Groundnuts pods and kernels shall be compulsory.

(ii) Export consignments shall be fumigated not earlier than 15 days before shipment.

(iii) Fumigation of both Hand Picked Selected Groundnut pods and kernels and prophylactic treatment of container shall be undertaken in accordance with the instructions issued by the Agricultural Marketing Adviser to the Government of India from time to time and a certificate to this effect shall be produced by the exporter or his agent in respect of each lot in the form prescribed by the Agricultural Marketing Adviser to the Government of India to authority who issued the relevant Certificate of Grading, within 15 days from the date of shipment as a proof that the exported lot was fumigated by the recognised fumigator within the prescribed time.
