Section 22: Retention of antiquities by licensee

The Government may by order, subject to such terms and conditions as may be specified, permit the licensee to retain such of the antiquities recovered during the excavation operations as may be specified therein:

Provided that human relics of historical importance and antiquities, which in the opinion of the Government are of national and regional importance, shall not be permitted to be retained by the licensee.
