Section 1: Short title and extent

*This Act may be called the Haryana Co-operative Societies (Amendment ) Act, 1984(Amended upto May 2013) .

(2) It extends to the whole of the State of Haryana.

* For the existing preamble to the Haryana Co-operative Societies Act, 1984 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), the following preamble shall be substituted, namely:- ―to consolidate and amend the law relating to co-operative societies and to facilitate the voluntary formation, autonomous functioning, democratic control and professional management of co- operative societies in the State of Haryana and for matters connected therewith and incidental thereto.‖.
