(1) Without prejudice to the provisions of sub-section (1) of section 19, the Lokayukta may, in consultation with the State Government, for the purpose of conducting any inquiry or investigation under this Act, utilise the services of any officer or investigating agency of the State Government, or for reasons to be recorded in writing, of any other person or agency.
(2) Any officer, agency or persons whose services have been sought under sub-section (1) may—
(a) summon and enforce the attendance of any person and examine him;
(b) require the production of any document ; and
(c) requisition any public record or copy thereof from any office.
(3) The officer, agency or person whose services have been sought under sub-section (1) shall enquire into the matter and submit a report to the Lokayukta within such period as may be specified by him in this behalf.
