Referred to Page No. 24 186 Development Department (Forests) The 11 th October, 1946 No. 1934 ft. whereas by notification no. 1939 Ft. dated the 13 th Sept., 1945, the Governor of the Punjab declared that it was proposed to constitute the area specified below as Reserved Forest and whereas the Forest settlement of that area has now been completed in accordance with Chapter II of the Indian Forest Act, 1927, the Governor of Punjab is hereby pleased in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 20 of the said Act to declare that the area specified below, the limits of which are defined by boundary marks (pillars) erected on the ground and map filed in the office of the Deputy commissioner, Karnal is reserved with effect from the dated after the expiry of four weeks from the date of this notification.

Reasons for reservation The object of reservation is the proper protective management for the production of the maximum sustained quantities of small timber and firewood.
