PART III HARYANA GOVERMNENT FOREST DEPARTMENT NOTIFICATION December 4, 1987 No. S.O. 136/C.A.16/1927/S.29/96.- In exersise of the powers conferred by section 29 of the Indian Forest Act, 1927, and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Haryana hereby declares the land described in the Schedule below to be protected forest, to which the provisions of the Chapter IV of the said Act, shall be applicable :-

369 AGRICULTURAL DEPARTMENT No. :- 1549-Ft-56/1844. Whereas the Forest lands and waste lands specified in the schedule appended here to constituted the farmer Kalsia forests and were transferred from the Patiala and East Punjab state union to Punjab State and are now the property of Punjab, Government over which it has proprietary rights ;
And whereas the nature and extent of the rights of Environment and of private person in or over the said lands comprised in the schedule here in after appearing were enquired into the recorded in the Kalsia Forest settlement report of 1892;
Now therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2 of the Indian Forest Act, 1927 and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Government f Punjab is pleases to declare that the land specified in the following schedule shall be protected forests to which all the provisions of Chapter-IV of the said Act apply.

(a) to declare all trees standing in or upon these lands to be reserved from the date publication of this notification for a period of 30 years and
(b) to prohibit from the same date and for the same period the quarrying of a stones, burning of line or charcoal, the collection or subjection to any manufacturing process or removal of any forest produce and the breaking up or clearing of land for cultivation, for building and for herding cattle in the said land.
No. 1549-Ft-56/1845-A. whereas by Punjab Government notification No. : 1549-Ft-56- 1844 dated 9th June 1956, Certain State Lands whether under tree growth or not , specified in the schedule annexed to the said notification have been declared to be protected forests under section 29 of the Indian Forests Act, 1927, now, therefore in exercised the powers conferred by section 32 of the said act, the Governor of Punjab, is pleases to make the following rules applicable to all land comprised in the schedule of the aforesaid notification.
Rules.
1. No person shall cut, fell or lop any tree for any purpose that so ever or remove any forest produce without previous permission oft eh Divisional Forest Officer, Ambala Forest Division provided that the tight-holders may be entitled to take the Maljan leaves and other Forest Produce from the Dehati Forests for their bonofide domestic purpose as provided in the Rules of Hill Forests of Kalsia Forest settlement Report of 1892
2. No. person shall herd, pasture, graze or retain, sheep, goats or camels or other cattle on the lands specified ion the Schedule annexed to Punjab Government notification No. 1549-Ft-56/1844 dated 9th June 1956 provided that the right holders may graze their cattle for bonafide domestic purpose in the Dehati Forest of the Hill Forests as provided that the divisional Forest Officer, Ambala Forest Division may permit the right holder to graze cattle expect sheep, goats and camels in some pertain of hill forests under the conditions specified in the rules of hill forest in the Kalsia Forest Settlement report of
1892.
3. No person shall clear or break up land for cultivation without previous permission of the Divisional Forest Officer , Ambala Forest Division provided tha thte lands under cultivation prior to Kalsia Forest settlement of 1892 will not be withdraw from the cultivation.
4. No person shall cut or remove grass without the approval of the Divisional Forest Officer, Ambala Forest Division provided of the holders will be entitled to cut grass, bhabbar, sarkanda pulas and binds from the Dehati forest of hill forest in schedule
(a) According to the rules of Forest settlement.
5. No person shall set fire to grass, trees or timber or kindle a fire on the land without taking reasonable to precautions to prevent it spreading.
