2. The Governor of Haryana is pleased to accord sanction for the framulation oi tf scheme cited as subject.
Object:- The object of the scheme is in diminishing caste consciousness among the pecple and to encouragement inter caste marriages.
Pattern:- Under this scheme an amount of Rs. 5000/- (Rs. 2000/ in cash and fixed deposit of Rs. 3000/-) in the joint account of the married couple for a minimum period of six years will be given to a married couple.
Conditions of Eligibility:- i) Both the spouses should be citizen of India and permanent resident o State. b i) The grant shall only be given once for the first marriage.
iii) A non-Scheduled castes boy who marriage a Scheduled castes girl and vice-ver-s the concerned scheduled castes bride/bridegroom wiil be given a cash giant of Rs. 2000/- and a fixed deposit of 3000,- in the account of the Scheduled Castes girl/boy.
Procedure of Implementation of scheme:- Applications shall be invited by the Director, Welfare of SCs and BCs eligible couples by giving wide publicity through news papers and the all India Radia. The application should be supported with a certificate from District Magistrate in case of Cil Marriage or Certificate from religious institutions/societies/individual performing marriage age ceremony. The District Welfare Officers will verify the facts stated in the application and place before the Deputy Commissioner concerned alongwith his recommendations. The Deputy Commissioner will sanction the amount. After the sanction is issued, the District Welfare Officer will draw the amount and disburse/deposit the same in the fixed account as per pattern of the scheme.

4. The claim of incentive for inter-caste marriage will not be claimed as a matter of right.
5. The above scheme will be effective from 01-04-1983.
6. The expenditure involved may be debited under head, 2 Social Security and Welfare of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other Backward Classes-Incentive for their in caste marriage (Plan).

In continuation of the Haryana Government instructions given in margin in this scheme. the Governor of Haryana is pleased to modify the pattern of giving of Rs.2.50 lakh 2s iacentive under this scheme.
