(1) The Secretary of the Corporation Sports Council, Municipal Sports Council, Town Sports Council and Block Sports Council shall,-
(i) give effect to the resolution of the respective Sports Council and its Executive Committee;
(ii) be responsible for the safe custody of the fund of respective Sports Council;
(iii) maintain and keep the accounts of receipts and expenditure of the respective Sports Council;
(iv) examine and cause to be audited the statement and accounts of the respective Sports Council; and
(v) submit returns, accounts, statements or other details, whenever required by the District Sports Council or any audit authority.
(2) The Secretary of the Corporation Sports Council, Municipal Sports Council, Town Sports Council and Block Sports Council shall exercise such powers and perform such duties, as may be conferred or imposed upon him by the President of the respective Sports Council.
Functions of other Sports Council.
25. The Corporation Sports Council, Municipal Sports Council, Town Sports Council and Block Sports Council shall perform the following functions, namely:-
(a) co-ordinate the activities of the registered sports organizations and sports clubs within their jurisdiction;
(b) organize sports events or competitions or tournaments within their area of jurisdiction; and
(c) perform such other functions, as may be entrusted to it by the District Sports Council.
