he Andaman And Nicobar Islands Gram Panchayats Regulation, 1961.Regulations · 1961

(2) The Assistant Commissioner shall appoint a Secretary for every Panchayat or group of Panchayats and the Secretary so appointed shall be ex officio Secretary of the Gram Sabha or the Gram Sabhas concerned.

(2) The Penchayat may appoint such other officers and servants and in such number as may from time to time be necessary:

Provided that it shall not create any post not already provided for in the budget except with the previous approval of the Assistant Commissioner.

(3) The terms and conditions of service of the Secretary and the other officers and servants shall be such as may be prescribed.
