he Andaman And Nicobar Islands Gram Panchayats Regulation, 1961.Regulations · 1961

(1) Subject to such conditions as may be prescribed, the Chief Commissioner may, with the consent of a Panchayat, by notification in the Official Gazette, entrust to the Panchayat the functions and duties of collecting the land revonue and other dues recoverable as arrears of land revenue.

(2) Where any functions or duties are entrusted to a Panchayot under sub-section (I), the Chief Commissioner shall pay to such Panchavat collection charges at such rates as he may determine.
