(1) A member of a Gram Sabha shall cease to be a member, if—

(a) he Is disqualified under section 4, or

(b) the area where he resides has been excluded from the jurisdiction of the Gram Sabha, or

(c) he ceases to be ordinarily resident within the jurisdiction of the Gram Sabha.

(2) Where any person ceases to be a member of a Gram Sabha under sub-section (2), he shall also cease to hold any office to which he may have been elected or appointed by reason of his being a member thereof.

8. On the establishment of a Gram Sabha, the Assistant Com- - missioner shall cause to be prepared a register in the prescribed manner of all persons ordinarily residing within the jurisdiction of the Gram Sabha; such register shall, among other things, contain the names of all persons entitled under section 4 to be members of the Gram Sabha on the date of its establishment and shall be revised at least once a year In the prescribed manner.
