Section 30: Power to summon witnesses and take evidence

The Trustee Committee and the Bar Council shall, for the purpose of any enquiry under 1 . Subs. vide Act No. 18 of 2004 (sec. 6).

H. P. ADVOCATES WELFARE FUND ACT, 1996 15 this Act, have the same powers as are vested in a civil court while trying a suit under the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 (5 of 1908) in respect of the following namely :-

(a) enforcing the attendance of any person or examining him on oath;

(b) requiring the discovery and production of documents;

(c) receiving evidence on affidavit; and

(d) issuing commission for the examination of witnesses.
