Section 30: Constitution of the Committee

The Himachal Pradesh Agricultural and Horticultural Produce Marketing (Development and Regulation) Act, 2005State Act of Himachal Pradesh · Act 20 of 2005

(1) A Committee shall consist of sixteen members of whom six shall be ex-officio members and ten nonofficial members.

(2) Ex- officio members:-

(i) Deputy Commissioner - Vice Chairman;

(ii) Dy. Director of Agriculture;

(iii) Dy. Director of Horticulture;

(iv) Dy. Director of Animal Husbandry;

(v) In charge, Krishi Vigyan Kendra; and

(vi) Secretary of the Committee.

(3) The non-official members shall be appointed by the State Government out of a panel of names given by the Deputy Commissioner concerned equal to twice the number of vacancies to be filled up, in the manner provided here under:–

(i) nine non-official members from the producers of the notified market area; and

(ii) one non-official members from the traders registered under section 40, from the notified market area.
