Section 1: Short title, extent and commencement

The Himachal Pradesh Climbing/Trekking Porters (Regulation of Employment) Act, 1977State Act of Himachal Pradesh · Act 4 of 1978

(1) This Act may be called the Himachal Pradesh Climbing/Trekking Porters (Regulation of Employment) Act, 1977.

(2) It extends to the whole of the State of Himachal Pradesh.

(3) It shall come into force with effect from such date as the State Government may, by notification 1 in the Official Gazette, appoint in this behalf and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of the Act and for different areas of the State.
