(1) These regulations may be called the Himachal Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (Conduct of Business) Regulations,
2005.
(2) These regulations extend to the whole of the State of Himachal Pradesh;

(3) These regulations shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Rajpatra, Himachal Pradesh.

Applicability: These regulations shall apply in relation to the functions to be performed and duties to be discharged by the Commission under the provisions of the Act and these regulations shall, mutatis mutandis as far as practicable and possible, apply also to the proceedings to be conducted by the Commission or by an adjudicating officer appointed under section 27 of the Energy Conservation Act, 2001 or under any law for the time being in force, so far these are not inconsistent with the provisions of the Act (ibid) or the provisions of such other law, as the case may be.]
