Section 7: Entertainment Tax Officer and other taxing authorities

For carrying out the purposes of this Act, the Government may appoint2 a person as Entertainment Tax Officer and such other persons as it thinks fit to assist the Commissioner.

3[7-A. Assistance to Commissioner and other taxing authorities.- All police officers shall be bound to assist the Commissioner, the Entertainment Tax Officers and other persons appointed to assist the Commissioner under section 7 of this Act, when required, in the performance of their duties under this Act, and, for that purpose they shall have the same powers which they have in the discharge of their ordinary police duties.]
