Section 6: Court to which petition shall be presented

The Himachal Pradesh Freedom of Religion Act, 2019State Act of Himachal Pradesh · Act 13 of 2019

Every petition under section 5 shall be presented to the Family Court or where Family Court is not established, the Court within the local limits of whose ordinary original civil jurisdiction,—

(i) the marriage was solemnized; or

(ii) the respondent, at the time of the presentation of the petition, resides; or

(iii) the parties to the marriage last resided together; or 4 THE HIMACHAL PRADESH FREEDOM OF RELIGION ACT, 2019

(iv) in case the wife is the petitioner, where she is residing on the date of presentation of the petition.
