Section 20: Cognizance and trial of offences

The Himachal Pradesh Ground Water (Regulation and Control of Development and Management) Act, 2005State Act of Himachal Pradesh · Act 31 of 2005

(1) No prosecution for an offence under this Act shall be instituted except on a written complaint of the Authority or a person authorized in this behalf by the State Government.

(2) No court inferior to that of a Magistrate of the first class shall try any offence under this Act.
