Section 22: Compounding of offences

The Himachal Pradesh Ground Water (Regulation and Control of Development and Management) Act, 2005State Act of Himachal Pradesh · Act 31 of 2005

Where any offence under this Act has been committed, such an offence may, at any time before or after the institution of proceedings, be compounded by the Authority, or any other officer authorised by the State Government after accepting by way of compensation thereof, a sum of money not exceeding such amount as may be prescribed, and such composition shall have the effect of discharging such person of the offence and no further proceedings shall be taken or continued against him in respect of the offence so compounded.
