Section 31: Appointment of Presiding Officers, Polling Officers and Polling Personnel

The H.P. Panchayati Raj (Election) Rules, 1994-(English version)State Rules of Himachal Pradesh · 1994

(1) The District Election Officer (Panchayat) or Returning Officer so authorised by District Election Officer (Panchayat) shall appoint a Presiding Officer for each polling station and such polling officers to assist the Presiding Officer, as he deems necessary.

(2) District Election Officer (Panchayat) may also appoint such other personnel required for the conduct of election for Panchayats.
