The State Government may, by special or general order, delegate any of its powers or functions under this Act or the rules made thereunder, except the power to make rules under section 17, to any officer not below the rank of the Assistant Conservator of Forests, who shall exercise or perform the same, subject to such conditions and restrictions, THE HIMACHAL PRADESH FOREST PRODUCE (REGULATION OF TRADE) ACT, 1982 5 if any, as the State Government may specify in the order.
